The mission of the Technology Acquisition Program (TAP) is to keep the CSU diverse entertainment departments at its 23 campuses at the forefront of entertainment technology. By facilitating access to consistent tools, we help align our students with evolving industry standards and techniques.
TAP builds strategic partnerships between the CSU and technology vendors to facilitate equipment purchasing and secure aggregate discounts. TAP staff are tasked with remaining knowledgeable about current and future technology trends in the entertainment industry that impact our students.
TAP is currently conducting a needs assessment study of CSU entertainment-related departments to determine technology and production needs. Our research will inform the possibility of an energy-saving CSU system-wide studio and field lighting upgrade to LED technology.
